Owner and publisher: Ardan Michael Blum

This notice applies to www.gstaad.events, including its associated pages and subdomains unless a different notice is displayed.

The Site publishes independent notes, commentary, essays, guides, creative work, and reference material concerning Gstaad, Gstaad events, the Gstaad area, and related topics.

Tourism, Events and Safety Information

This is an independent editorial guide. Unless expressly disclosed otherwise, neither the author nor this website is affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected with Gstaad Saanenland Tourism, the Municipality of Saanen, any event organizer, transport operator, mountain-sports organization, venue, hotel, business, public authority, or other individual or organization mentioned. The author retains sole editorial control. Names and trademarks are used only to identify the subjects discussed; inclusion does not imply a recommendation or endorsement.

This website contains no affiliate links, sponsored content, paid placements, or compensated endorsements. Neither the author nor the website has received payment, free or discounted goods or services, preferential access, travel, accommodation, hospitality, gifts, or other material benefits in connection with its editorial coverage.

Information about Gstaad, Saanenland, and surrounding communities is provided for general editorial and reference purposes. This website does not control the events, services, locations, routes, or facilities it describes. Dates, programs, performers, prices, ticket availability, entry requirements, transportation arrangements, accessibility provisions, cancellation policies, operating conditions, and safety requirements may change.

Before purchasing tickets, traveling, participating in an activity, or making consequential plans, confirm current information with the responsible organizer, venue, transport operator, service provider, or public authority. Follow all current instructions, warnings, closures, and local safety requirements. Nothing on this website replaces guidance from organizers, qualified guides, emergency services, or public authorities.

Reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate and useful information, but no guarantee is made that every page will remain complete, accurate, current, suitable, accessible, or available.

Note: “Gstaad Saanenland Tourism” remains a current official English name used by the organization, although some official pages use the German “Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus.” Official Gstaad source.

Operational and environmental conditions may change without notice. Relevant changes can include:

  • event cancellations or schedule changes;

  • transportation disruptions;

  • parking restrictions;

  • construction or maintenance;

  • altered opening hours or admission rules;

  • public-access or private-property restrictions;

  • seasonal closures;

  • weather and visibility conditions;

  • snow, ice, avalanche, rockfall, or other alpine hazards;

  • trail, piste, or cross-country-track closures;

  • accessibility barriers;

  • staffing limitations; and

  • emergency measures or changes in official policy.

The Site does not provide real-time emergency notifications, mountain-rescue information, avalanche warnings, live weather alerts, live transport information, live parking information, or official public-agency notices.

Descriptions of walking routes, hiking trails, ski pistes, cross-country tracks, mountain paths, landmarks, and suggested itineraries are not professional safety assessments. Conditions experienced by a visitor may differ significantly from those described. A route may be affected by weather, snow, construction, closures, restricted access, private property, inadequate equipment, physical ability, or other hazards.

Before undertaking an outdoor activity, visitors should consult current official information, posted signs, weather forecasts, avalanche bulletins where relevant, and qualified local authorities or professionals. Visitors remain responsible for choosing activities appropriate to their experience, health, equipment, and current conditions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not responsible for losses caused solely by reliance on information that has become inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, or by events and conditions outside the publisher’s control. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Website information

The website publishes general information about Gstaad and related tourism and practical information. Its explanations are educational. The website is not a substitute for individualized advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Artificial Intelligence and Editorial Responsibility

Some material on this website may be researched, drafted, checked, organized, translated or revised with assistance from artificial intelligence tools. The nature and extent of that assistance vary by page. These tools may help identify potential sources, explore wording and flag possible factual or logical problems. Their output may nevertheless be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, misattributed or fabricated, including references or quotations that appear authentic.

Ardan Michael Blum uses artificial intelligence as an editorial aid. He selects the subjects, directs the work, substantively reviews material before publication, makes the final editorial decisions and retains editorial control and responsibility for what is published. Material is not published solely because an artificial intelligence system generated, endorsed or recommended it.

References to research, verification, fact-checking or editorial review describe activities undertaken during preparation. They do not mean that every statement, source, quotation or translation has been independently verified. AI-assisted review does not constitute independent human peer review, professional certification or endorsement by a cited person or organization.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, no representation, warranty or guarantee is made that material on this website is complete, accurate, current, impartial or free from error. The use of artificial intelligence does not transfer editorial responsibility to a tool or its provider, and this disclosure does not excuse unlawful conduct.

Nothing in this disclosure excludes, restricts or waives any right, duty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived. Any provision that is invalid or unenforceable applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Sources, corrections and changing information

We aim to use credible sources, distinguish documented facts from interpretation, identify material uncertainty and correct confirmed errors. These editorial practices do not guarantee that every source, quotation or conclusion is complete or correct. A source link supports the point for which it is used; it does not mean that the source endorses this website or every statement nearby.

Search systems, platform policies, software behavior, technical standards, prices and availability can change. Publication and update dates identify editorial revisions. They do not guarantee that every detail remains current. Consult the original source and current official documentation before making a consequential decision.

External services and website availability

External websites, forms, embedded content and other services are controlled by their providers. A link or embed does not by itself imply endorsement or affiliation, and we cannot ensure the provider's continuing accuracy, availability, security or terms.

Pages and features may contain errors or become unavailable, and content may be corrected, revised, moved or withdrawn. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is made that all website material will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, secure or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any right, remedy, duty, consumer protection or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited. Separate engagement terms and specific notices should be read alongside this page where they apply.

Commercial relationships

This website promotes the publisher's own consulting services and projects. It does not currently carry third party paid advertising, affiliate links, sponsored placements or paid recommendations.

Copyright and permitted use

Copyright in original human authored expression, editorial selection and arrangement, and other protectable website material belongs to Ardan Michael Blum unless otherwise stated, to the extent recognized by law. © 2026 Ardan Michael Blum. All rights reserved.

Copyright does not cover facts, ideas or methods, and public domain material does not become protected merely because it appears here. Quotations, images, trademarks and other third party material remain subject to their respective owners' rights.

You may link to public pages, save or print a reasonable copy for personal noncommercial use, and quote limited excerpts for commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching, scholarship or review, with attribution and a link where practical. These permissions apply only to material for which the publisher can grant permission.

Unless applicable law permits the use, substantial republication, commercial redistribution, systematic copying, bulk scraping or creation of a dataset from substantial portions of protectable website content requires prior permission. No permission is granted to use substantial portions of protectable material for machine learning training, model fine tuning, commercial retrieval systems or competing substitute content.

These reservations do not restrict fair use, fair dealing, public domain use, lawful research or other rights and exceptions provided by law. The US Copyright Office explains copyright protection and fair use; for permission or a concern about ownership or attribution, use the contact details below.

Privacy and cookies

Who handles information

Ardan Michael Blum determines why and how personal information submitted directly to the publisher is used and is the data controller where that term applies. Google and other providers also handle information under applicable law, their service terms and their privacy policies.

Information you provide

The linked Google Forms contact form requests an email address and a message. If you call or send a text, we may receive your telephone number and the information in the communication. Corrections, accessibility reports, permission requests and other inquiries may include additional information that you choose to provide.

Providing contact information is voluntary, although a working reply address may be needed to answer your request. Include only the information relevant to the inquiry; initial messages should not contain passwords, account credentials or sensitive personal records. Arrangements for sharing private project material should be agreed separately.

Google Sites, Google Forms and cookies

The website is created and hosted using Google Sites, and the contact form is hosted using Google Forms. Google processes a form submission, and the publisher receives the information entered.

The publisher has not connected Google Analytics to this website or added code under the publisher's control for visitor measurement, advertising, remarketing, or tracking activity across different websites. This does not mean that no cookies or technical processing occur.

Google may process technical information such as your IP address, browser or device characteristics, request times and referring page information. It may use cookies and similar technologies in delivering and operating its services. What Google processes depends on the service, your interaction and relevant account or device settings.

Google explains its practices in its Privacy Policy, its information about how Google uses cookies, and its explanation of information from sites and applications using Google services. These policies describe Google's services generally and do not establish that every described technology is used on this website.

Links and embedded content

Where a page includes embedded third party content, the provider may receive technical information when the content loads or when you interact with it, even if you do not submit a message or create an account. If you are signed in to that provider, an interaction may be associated with your account under its policies and settings.

A plain external link generally takes you to another service when you follow it; embedded content may connect to a provider while the page loads. The publisher does not control every cookie, retention period or independent processing decision used by Google or another provider.

Why information is used

  • To read and answer messages and respond to possible consulting engagements.

  • To investigate corrections, accessibility barriers, permission requests and copyright concerns.

  • To manage voluntarily submitted material and related correspondence.

  • To prevent spam, abuse, fraud or security incidents, protect rights and safety, and meet applicable legal obligations.

- In More Detail:

Some pages may contain or link to third-party content or services, including:

  • embedded YouTube videos;

  • Google Maps;

  • calendars;

  • Google documents or forms;

  • audio or video players;

  • social-media widgets;

  • ticketing or event services;

  • advertising or audience-measurement services, if introduced and separately disclosed; or

  • other third-party tools, trackers, or interactive features.

Depending on the service and how it is implemented, a provider may receive information when its content loads or when a visitor interacts with it. Technologies used by a provider may include:

  • cookies;

  • tracking pixels;

  • web beacons;

  • tags;

  • scripts;

  • embedded frames;

  • local or session storage;

  • device or advertising identifiers;

  • Internet Protocol addresses;

  • browser and device characteristics;

  • referring-page information;

  • interaction data;

  • software development kits; or

  • similar tracking, storage, or measurement technologies.

Sharing and advertising

The publisher does not sell or rent personal information, share it for cross context behavioral advertising, or use contact submissions for targeted advertising. Cross context behavioral advertising means targeting advertising using activity across different businesses or services. The website does not conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Information may be processed by providers supporting hosting, forms, communications, security or other website functions. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, investigate misuse, protect rights or safety, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Retention, security and processing locations

Contact information and correspondence are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, manage follow up, document a permission or correction, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Providers retain information under their own policies and service settings.

Reasonable care is taken with information handled directly by the publisher, but no method of internet transmission, electronic storage or third party service is completely secure. Google and other providers may process information outside your country of residence; consult the relevant provider's policy for its processing locations and transfer arrangements.

Your privacy rights

Privacy rights depend on your location, the processing involved and which laws apply. Where applicable law provides them, rights may include access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restrictions on processing, objection, withdrawal of consent for future processing, and a complaint to a competent regulator.

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies, including rights concerning sale or sharing, sensitive information and nondiscrimination. The publisher does not sell personal information or share it for cross context behavioral advertising.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, processing may rely on legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website and answering correspondence; steps taken at your request before entering a services contract; consent where requested and legally required; or applicable legal obligations. Relevant information is available from the EU GDPR and the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Where Swiss data protection law applies, rights may include information about the processing, correction, deletion and other remedies. The Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner explains these rights. Other US state laws may provide additional rights where they apply.

Use the contact details below to request assistance with information handled by the publisher. Information needed to locate the relevant records or reasonably verify your identity or authority may be requested where legally necessary. Requests are subject to applicable legal exceptions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right where applicable law prohibits such discrimination, and nothing here reduces your statutory rights.

Privacy signals and cookie choices

The website does not respond differently to the older Do Not Track browser signal. Global Privacy Control is a distinct signal that covered businesses must honor as a valid request to stop sale or sharing.

The publisher does not operate a sale or advertising sharing system for that signal to disable. Where applicable law nevertheless requires action in response to a recognized privacy signal, the publisher will comply with that requirement. Browser and Google account settings may offer additional controls over cookies and service activity.

If publisher selected advertising, remarketing or audience measurement services are introduced, this notice will identify the relevant provider and purpose. Any legally required notice, consent or opt out mechanism will be provided before the service is intentionally used. This privacy notice does not replace legally required consent for nonessential cookies or similar technologies.

Children

The contact form is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please report it using the contact details below so the situation can be reviewed and the information deleted where appropriate.

Accessibility

We aim to make this website accessible and usable for as many people as possible and use Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, Level AA as a technical reference. This describes our accessibility objective and does not certify conformance for every page or third party feature.

If you encounter a barrier, identify the page and describe what you are trying to do and the difficulty you experienced. Browser, device or assistive technology details can help but are optional. We will make a good faith effort to review the issue and provide reasonable assistance or an accessible alternative where possible.

You can use the contact form or call the telephone number below. If the form itself is difficult to use, the telephone provides an alternative way to request assistance.

Contact and requests

For project inquiries, corrections, accessibility assistance, privacy requests, permission or copyright concerns, contact Ardan Michael Blum using the details below. When relevant, include the page address, identify the material, describe your concern and provide supporting information such as a reliable source for a correction.

Provide a reliable way to reply, and send only the information needed to understand the request. This is a direct contact procedure, not a representation that the website has registered a designated copyright agent under section 512 of the United States Copyright Act.
